Cornflower 'Blue Boy' has double blooms in a stunning shade of deep blue. It makes a great cut flower and a lovely addition to the border or the wildflower garden.
Cornflowers are very easy to grow, and they self sow prolifically. This selection is also known as Tall Blue Boy. I like the tall varieties better than the dwarf ones because they make a bigger impression, and they don't look dumpy. One of my favorite combinations is Cornflower 'Blue Boy' with Calendula 'Zeolights' and Malva 'Zebrina'.

Sow outdoors in early spring, 1/4" deep. Or sow indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost date. Full sun to part shade. Easy to grow. Self sows.
