One of the neat things about this eryngium is the silver veining on the dark green leaves. The blue flowers appear in mid summer.
Eryngium bourgatii is drought-tolerant and relatively easy to grow. It's not very tall, so place it near the front of the border where you can see the attractive leaves. Also known as Pyrenees Sea Holly. Hardy zones 4-9.
