French sorrel is a perennial herb or vegetable with tangy, lemon flavored leaves. It makes a nice addition to soups, salads, omelets, meats, and fish dishes.
Sorrel is best picked when the leaves are young and tender, and they are greatly appreciated in the spring when there's little else in the garden. Also known as garden sorrel or spinach dock.
