This old heirloom has been grown since the days of the Civil War. It was handed down through generations of the Barnes family. It was originally grown as an ornamental, since "love apples" were considered to be poisonous.
Missouri Pink Love Apple produces large, pink fruits in abundance. They are among the tastiest tomatoes I have grown. The flavor is sweet and tangy, rich and complex. Potato-leaved plants.
