'Summer Cider' tomato is a large beefsteak that tastes as good as it looks. It may be the best yellow-orange tomato we've ever grown; I just wish it were earlier. The 1- to 2-pound, apricot-colored fruits appear late in the season. The flavor is sweet and fruity, and the texture is creamy. The plants have potato-leaf foliage.

'Summer Cider' tomato was bred by Tom Wagner and introduced in 1998 by K. Sahin in the Netherlands.
