Sowing Tomato Seeds:
Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date, 1/4" deep. Transplant outside when all danger of frost is past. Bury the stem up to the first set of "true" leaves (tomatoes root along the stem). Space plants 2-3 feet apart. Full sun. Provide large-fruited varieties with a support like a tomato cage or stake.
