Aquilegia flabellata var. pumila 'Selection' is a dwarf columbine for the rock garden or the edge of a path. The nodding, blue and white flowers appear early in the season on short plants with blue-green leaves.
This lovely columbine originated in Japan and was introduced by Jelitto Perennial Seeds in 1986. It won an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
Also known as dwarf fan columbine. It tolerates drought and poor soil. Deer resistant. Hardy in zones 3-9.
