HomeCabbage 'Danish Ballhead' is a great storage variety. The 5-pound heads are round, solid and heavy. They are split-resistant and bolt-resistant. After you harvest the first head, the plants will make new mini cabbages in late fall.
Danish heirloom. Introduced to the U.S. by W. Atlee Burpee & Company in 1887.
Sowing Cabbage 'Danish Ballhead' Seeds
Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. Or sow outdoors 2 weeks before the last frost. Sow 1/4" deep. Spacing 16". Full sun.
