National Pickling is a highly productive pickling cucumber. It produces loads of bumpy-skinned fruits that can be picked at any size, up to 6" long. It's a dual-purpose cucumber that's good for fresh eating, too.
Cucumber 'National Pickling' is an American heirloom from 1935. It was selected by the National Pickle Packers Association and the Michigan Agriculture Experiment Station in response to pickle growers' desire for a better cuke. Resistant to scab and cucumber mosaic virus. Latin name: Cucumis sativus.
