Applegreen is an early-ripening eggplant for northern gardens. The 3" long, oval-shaped fruits are a lovely, light green color. They have thin skin and mild flavor. Developed in 1964 by Elwyn Meader at University of New Hampshire.

Start eggplant seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/4" deep. Transplant outside 2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 16".
