Geum 'Mrs. Bradshaw'
(Geum chiloense, Avens)
60 seeds $3.25 out of stock
Geum chiloense 'Mrs. Bradshaw' blooms in early summer with semi-double, scarlet-red flowers on graceful stems. The color is bold, but the flowers are small enough that the overall effect is not overpowering. So it combines well with other flowers for a relaxed cottage garden look.
Geum 'Mrs. Bradshaw' blooms the first year from seed if started early indoors. It is a very light self-sower. I rarely see new plants in the garden, but the old plants are long-lived. To encourage repeat blooming, cut each stem to the ground after the flowers have faded.
Also known as Geum chiloense 'Feuerball'. Deer resistant. Hardy perennial in zones 4-10.
