Malcolmia maritima is a quick-blooming annual with small flowers in shades of pink, purple and white. It has a sweet fragrance.
Virginia Stock makes a nice bulb cover. Try it along the edge of a path where you can see the flowers up close. It is traditionally planted with Night Scented Stock in heirloom flower gardens.
Malcolmia maritma prefers cool weather. Sow it early so it can bloom before the hot summer temperatures arrive. Easy to grow.
