Amaranth 'Elephant Head'

'Elephant Head' amaranth is an heirloom variety with large heads of tightly knit flowers in the shape of an elephant's head with a long trunk. When you see it, you just have to pet it! It has edible leaves and black seeds.

'Elephant Head' amaranth makes a wonderful addition to the fall garden. Leave the plants standing into winter for structural interest. They will probably self-sow.
