Aquilegia 'Ruby Port' is an heirloom columbine with dark ruby-red, double flowers with short spurs. This is the first columbine I ever grew, and it's still one of my favorites. A classic!
Ruby Port columbine has tall stems for cutting. It looks especially stunning in the garden next to the silver-green foliage of Lychnis coronaria 'Alba'.
Also known as Double-flowered Granny's Bonnet and Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata plena 'Ruby Port'. Shade tolerant. Hardy perennial in zones 3-9.
