Aquilegia sibirica

Aquilegia sibirica has unusually large flowers for the size of the plant. The brilliant blue flowers have white corollas and hooked spurs.

Siberian Columbine makes a lovely addition to the rock garden. It's the first columbine to bloom in May in my zone 5b garden. This species is exceptionally hardy, and it self-sows nicely.
