Arugula is a cool-season leafy green that is often added to salads, sandwiches, stir-fries and egg dishes. The entire plant is edible, including the flowers and seed pods. It has a strong peppery flavor.
Arugula is a member of the brassica family. According to Anthony William, it has powerful phytochemicals that heal the thyroid.
Arugula can be sown every 2-3 weeks to prolong the harvest. It tastes best in cool weather.

Sowing Arugula Seeds
Sow arugula seeds outdoors in spring. Or sow in late summer for a fall harvest. Sow seeds 1/8" deep and 1" apart. Thin to 3" apart. Full sun to part shade.
