Aster alpinus 'Goliath'

Aster 'Goliath' has soft lavender-blue flowers that are unusually large for this species. It blooms in late spring to early summer when there are few other flowers in the garden. It attracts butterflies and beneficial insects.

Alpine aster 'Goliath' is nice in the rock garden, at the edge of a path, or the front of the border. It is wonderful with columbine and other early-blooming perennials.

Aster alpinus is drought tolerant and deer resistant. Hardy in zones 3-8.
