Campanula 'Dinner Bells' is an edible selection with large, bell-shaped flowers in purple or white. The 2- to 3-inch blooms can be stuffed for hors d'oeuvres or added to salads. We enjoy the mild flavor with a hint of floral sweetness.

Campanula medium is a self-sowing biennial that is easy to grow. When the plants go to seed, pull them up and shake them over the area where you want them to grow the next year. This species is also known as Canterbury Bells.

Campanula 'Dinner Bells' was selected by Tim Peters of Peters Seed and Research. We got our original stock from Adaptive Seeds.
