Campanula sarmatica

Georgian Bellflower blooms in midsummer with soft blue, bell-shaped flowers on mid-height stems. This rare species combines well with other flowers, especially lilies that bloom at the same time. I appreciate how it blooms later than Campanula persicifolia, extending the bellflower season. It is much prettier than its picture.

Campanula sarmatica is native to the Caucasus. It likes full sun in cool climates and part shade in hot summer areas.
