Campanula sarmatica

Campanula sarmatica blooms in midsummer with soft blue, bell-shaped flowers on mid-height stems. This rare bellower combines well with other perennials in the border. I appreciate how it blooms later than Campanula persicifolia, extending the bellflower season.

Campanula sarmatica is native to the Caucasus. It likes full sun in cool climates and part shade in hot summer areas. Hardy in zones 5-8.
