Celery 'Redventure'

Redventure celery makes narrow, red and green stalks with a strong flavor. It is best used to add flavor to soup stock and stuffing.

This biennial celery goes to seed in the second year. The seeds can be ground with a mortar and pestle and mixed with salt to make a flavorful celery salt.

Celery 'Redventure' was introduced in the 1990s by Frank Morton of Wild Garden Seeds. Hardy to zone 6.

Sowing Celery Seeds

Start celery seeds indoors 10 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Spacing 10". Full sun.
