Classic Magic cornflower is an exciting mix that blooms in shades of blackberry, lavender-pink, blue, burgundy and white. The flowers have tall stems, which are good for cutting. Also known as Bachelor's Button.

Centaurea cyanus is an easy-to-grow annual that blooms in early to midsummer. It is a host plant for Painted Lady butterfly larvae. The flowers attract bees, butterflies and beneficial insects.

Cornflowers have attractive, gray-green foliage. They reseed, but the seedlings are easy to pull up if they are not wanted. They bloom best in full sun, but they can tolerate light shade in hot climates.
