Red Russian kale has beautiful gray-green leaves with purple veins and deeply cut edges. We like to add the tender leaves to soups and stews during the last 10 minutes of cooking for extra nutrition. It also makes good baby green. We love this variety for its sheer abundance of leaves.

Russian heirloom, pre-1885. Also known as Ragged Jack.
