Lavender 'Lady'

Lavender 'Lady' is a compact variety with lavender-blue flowers. It has a wonderful fragrance that is perfect for potpourri. I think it has a better fragrance than any other lavender I have smelled. The flowers attract bees and butterflies.

Lady lavender is a first-year flowering perennial. It grows quickly, and it should be cut back by half every summer after blooming to keep the plants tidy. It can be grown as a short hedge by spacing the plants 12" apart. It also works well in containers and rock gardens.

Lavandula angustifolia 'Lady' is a drought tolerant perennial that thrives in poor, well-drained soil. All-America Selections winner in 1994.
