Lettuce 'Brown Goldring'

'Brown Goldring' lettuce is a romaine (cos) type with green leaves that have bronze tips. The tightly wrapped, conical heads have canoe-shaped leaves that are good for scooping or filling.

Also known as 'Crispy Crunchy Green-Gold', which is an accurate description. This British heirloom won an Award of Merit in 1923 from the Royal Horticultural Society. It is very cold-tolerant.
