Lettuce 'Yedikule'

Yedikule is a rare lettuce from Istanbul, Turkey. It has been grown there for 1500 years. It is now endangered because of increasing urbanization. This is one of my favorite lettuces for delicious flavor and heat tolerance.

Sowing Lettuce Seeds

Sow lettuce seeds outdoors in early spring. Sow in very shallow furrows, and lightly cover with soil. Thin to 8" apart. Full sun to part shade.
