Lettuce 'Yedikule'

'Yedikule' is a rare heirloom lettuce from Istanbul, Turkey, where it has been grown for 1,500 years. It is now endangered due to increasing urbanization. This is one of my favorite varieties for classic flavor.

Sowing Lettuce Seeds

Sow lettuce seeds outdoors in early spring in very shallow furrows. Lightly cover with soil. Thin to 8" apart. Full sun to part shade.
