Nicotiana alata

Nicotiana alata is the perfect flower to enjoy during an evening stroll through the garden. It blooms from midsummer until the first frost with large, trumpet-shaped, pure white flowers.

Nicotiana alata is a highly fragrant heirloom flower. The perfume is most noticeable on warm summer evenings. It self-sows in my zone 5 garden.

Also known as flowering tobacco and Nicotiana alata 'Grandiflora', these deer-resistant plants are hardy in zones 10-11. They are grown as annuals in cooler climates.
