Penstemon cobaea

Penstemon cobaea has large, light to dark purple flowers that bloom in early to midsummer. It is one of the showiest penstemons. It makes a nice companion plant for roses.

Penstemon cobaea is more shade tolerant than most other species. The large, tubular flowers attract hummingbirds.

Also known as Showy Beardtongue. Hardy perennial in zones 4-9.
