Poppy 'After Midnight' has single flowers of the darkest purple-black, which imbue the garden with an air of mystery.
This dramatic poppy is wonderful for contrasting with lighter colored poppies, as well as other annual and perennial flowers in the midsummer garden. We appreciate it as a nice break from all the fluffy double poppies that we grow. Also known as Poppy 'Midnight'.

Sowing Poppy Seeds
Sow poppy seeds outdoors in early spring on the soil surface. In zones 8-11, sow in fall. Mix the seeds with sand before sowing for good coverage. Can be started indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date.
