Poppy 'Blushing Kate'

Poppy 'Blushing Kate' has large, fully double, frilly blooms in a soothing shade of warm pink. The plants are tall and vigorous. It blooms later than most, extending the poppy season. Each bloom lasts for several days.

I selected this beautiful flower from a mix of 'Amphora' poppies and named it for my youngest daughter.

Sowing Poppy Seeds

Sow poppy seeds outdoors in early spring on the soil surface. In zones 8-11, sow in fall. Mix the seeds with sand before sowing for good coverage. Can be started indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date.
