Poppy 'Elka White'

Elka White poppy has pale lavender to white blooms with dark purple blotches. It looked gorgeous in my garden with Foxglove 'Berggold'. The tall plants are vigorous. The creamy white seeds have a nutty flavor without bitterness.

Elka White is a very old breadseed poppy from Chrenovec-Brusno, Slovakia. The large, unvented pods don't spill the seeds.

Sow poppy seeds outdoors in early spring, or fall in mild winter areas. Sow on the surface. Full sun.
