Poppy 'Lavender Dress'

Poppy 'Lavender Dress' has light purple flowers with dark purple blotches and lots of small, frilly petals around the center. Each bloom lasts for several days.

We obtained the seeds for this gorgeous poppy from an elderly friend who grew it in his garden for many years. We improved it by selecting for blooms with the deepest coloring and the most petals.

Sowing Poppy Seeds

Sow poppy seeds outdoors in early spring on the soil surface. In zones 8-11, sow in fall. Mix the seeds with sand before sowing for good coverage. Can be started indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date.
