Poppy 'Lavender Dress'

Lavender Dress poppy has light purple flowers with dark purple blotches and lots of small, frilly petals around the center. Each bloom lasts for several days.

I obtained the seeds for this gorgeous poppy from an elderly friend who grew it in his garden for many years. We improved it by selecting for flowers with the deepest coloring and the most petals.

Lavender Dress poppy is easy to grow. It blooms in mid summer from an early spring sowing. Deer resistant.
