Poppy 'Lucille'

'Lucille' poppy has bright red, fully double flowers that are lightly frosted at the edges. It was chosen by Frank Morton out of a mixture of peony poppies. He named it after Lucille Ball, the unforgettable comedy actress with the amazing red hair.

Sowing Poppy Seeds

Sow poppy seeds outdoors in early spring on the soil surface. In zones 8-11, sow in fall. Mix the seeds with sand before sowing for good coverage. Can be started indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date.
