Tomato 'Abe Lincoln Original'

'Abe Lincoln Original' is the largest red tomato we have grown. It is also one of the tastiest! Unfortunately, it's not very productive, and it has very few seeds, which is a problem for seed sellers, and the reason it was replaced in commerce by the later 'Abe Lincoln' tomato. For home gardeners, it is worth growing for its smooth texture and delicious, well-balanced flavor. It also ripens earlier than most other giant tomatoes.

Sowing Tomato Seeds

Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
