'Anna Russian' tomato has large, oxheart-shaped, pink fruits that weigh 8 to 16 ounces and are produced in abundance. They have a fantastic, sweet and juicy flavor that is unique to heart-shaped tomatoes.
Because of the wispy, drooping foliage, people always ask if the plants are dying. No, it's just how they look. Don't worry. Be happy!
'Anna Russian' tomato is a popular heirloom. The seeds were sent to a Russian immigrant from a family member still living in Russia in the 1980s. Passing through several hands, the seeds were eventually introduced through the Seed Savers Exchange (SSE) Yearbook in 1989.
