Tomato 'Brandywine Sudduth's Strain'

'Brandywine, Sudduth's Strain' is the heirloom tomato with the legendary taste. The well-balanced flavor is complex and difficult to describe, but oh, so delicious! The large, pink beefsteaks weigh 1 to 2 pounds. 'Brandywine' is the yardstick by which all other pink tomatoes are judged. The plants have potato-leaf foliage.

Sudduth's strain is said to be the best pink Brandywine on the planet. Ben Quisenberry obtained the original seeds from Doris Sudduth Hill, whose family grew it for 80 years.

Sowing Brandywine Tomato Seeds

Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
