Tomato 'Eva Purple Ball'

'Eva Purple Ball' is one of the prettiest heirloom tomatoes. The dark pink, tennis ball-sized fruits are produced in abundance, and they are virtually immune to cracking, which is great for farmers' markets. The fruits weigh 4 to 5 ounces and have excellent flavor.

This treasure was brought to New Jersey in the late 1800s by immigrants from the Black Forest region of Germany.

Sowing Tomato Seeds

Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
