Tomato 'Peacevine Cherry'

'Peacevine Cherry' is my favorite cherry tomato. The fruits are sweet and tangy with a flavor that rivals a full-sized tomato. They are known for their high levels of vitamin C and GABA, an amino acid that calms the nervous system. Maybe it's my imagination, but I always feel happy eating these tomatoes!

'Peacevine Cherry' is very productive and crack-resistant. If I could only grow one cherry tomato, this would be it. Occasionally, a plant may produce yellow or orange fruits, but all of mine were red.

'Peacevine Cherry' tomato is a de-hybridized selection of 'Sweet 100 F1'. It was developed by Alan Kapular of Peace Seeds in the 1970s.

Sowing Tomato Seeds

Start tomato seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/8" deep. Transplant outside 1-2 weeks after the last frost date. Full sun. Spacing 30-36".
