Viola 'Helen Mount'

Viola 'Helen Mount' has small flowers that bloom from spring to fall in shades of purple, lavender, and yellow. It makes a nice groundcover, spreading and self-sowing around larger plants, even in part shade.

Viola flowers are edible, making them a nice addition to the herb garden. Viola tricolor is a host plant for several butterfly species, including Variegated Fritillary, Great Spangled Fritillary, and Gray Hairstreak.

Common names include Wild Pansy, Johnny Jump-Up, and Heartsease. Also known as Viola cornuta 'Helen Mount'.
