Zinnia 'Classic Zinnia'

Zinnia linearis

$3.00

460 seeds

Classic zinnias are short, bushy plants with 1.5-inch, star-shaped flowers in shades of gold, yellow, orange, and white. They bloom early and continuously until the end of summer.

Zinnia linearis is one of the best edging plants I've ever grown. It can also be used as a groundcover or a filler between larger plants. Long after other zinnias have succumbed to powdery mildew, this disease-resistant species keeps pumping out loads of blooms without any deadheading required to keep it looking nice.

Zinnia linearis was discovered in 1789 growing in the wild in southern Mexico. It has naturalized in warm climates in the U.S. It is heat and drought-tolerant. Common names include narrow-leaf zinnia and creeping zinnia.

Sowing Zinnia Seeds
