Sunflower 'Taiyo'

Sunflower 'Taiyo' is a lovely variety with 10-inch, golden-yellow flowers that have chocolate and burnt-orange centers. The petals are short and well-formed. 'Taiyo' comes from Japan, where the name means "sun."

Sunflower 'Taiyo' is recommended as a cut flower. Each plant usually produces one main flower, though cutting encourages more blooms. It looks fabulous in our garden with Amaranth 'Hopi Red Dye'.
