Celosia is an annual flower related to amaranth. Some varieties are grown for edible greens similar to spinach.

Start celosia seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date. Or sow outdoors after the last frost date. Sow on the surface, pressing the seeds into the soil. Full sun.
