Nemophila maculata

Nemophila maculata is a California wildflower that blooms from spring to summer. The common name, Five Spot, refers to the five-petaled, white flowers that have a purplish-blue spot on the outer edge of each petal.

Five Spot makes a good bulb cover or groundcover for a small area. Try it near the front of the border, in a rockery, or at the edge of a path. It's also nice in containers.

Nemophila maculata prefers the cool temperatures of spring, and it reseeds where conditions are favorable.
