Bean 'Cherokee Trail of Tears'

'Cherokee Trail of Tears' produces 5-inch green beans that are very tasty, despite the strings. The shiny black seeds are good for soup.

This popular heirloom bean was saved by Dr. John Wyche, whose Cherokee ancestors brought it with them on the Trail of Tears in 1838.
