Bean 'Turkey Craw'

Legend has it that the 'Turkey Craw' bean was found by a hunter in a wild turkey's craw. The 6-inch pods are stringless, and they are excellent for fresh eating, canning, and freezing. The brown and tan-flecked seeds are good for soups.

'Turkey Craw' bean is an American heirloom from the Appalachian region dating to the early 19th century.
