Lilium regale Album

Lilium regale Album is the pure white form of Lilium regale. It is an heirloom variety, introduced in 1903. The fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers have butter-yellow throats. It is shown here with Penstemon barbatus 'Coccineus'.

Lilium regale Album prefers rich, well-drained soil. it grows well in large containers, which can be overwintered in a garage. This is the best way to grow lilies in areas with poor soil or gopher problems. I use 7-gallon nursery pots.
