Long Bean 'Chinese Green Noodle'
75 days, pole bean - snap

'Chinese Green Noodle' is the first long bean we grew, and we are crazy about it! The beans can grow up to a yard long, but they should be picked at around a foot long, while still young and tender. Check them every day so they don't get away from you!
The plants are highly productive. Just a few plants kept us picking almost daily until hard frost. Long beans are versatile and tasty in many recipes. They are a different species (Vigna unguiculata) from regular beans, so you don't have to worry about cross-pollination.
Long Bean 'Chinese Green Noodle' is shown alongside Tomato 'Blondkopfchen'.
