Poppy 'Double Purple'

Double Purple poppy is a lovely variety with semi-double to fully double, soft purple flowers. It looks similar to our introduction Lavender Dress, but we don't think it's as nice - probably because it is commercially produced without the quality selection that we perform. 'Lavender Dress' has better color and form because we pull up any plants that are not up to our high standards.

Sowing Poppy Seeds

Sow poppy seeds outdoors in early spring on the soil surface. In zones 8-11, sow in fall. Mix the seeds with sand before sowing for good coverage. Can be started indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date.
