'Purple Podded Pole' is one of the most beautiful and vigorous snap beans we've ever grown. The 6-foot vines produce plenty of delicious beans that ripen from green to purple. They are tender and stringless when young. The purple color makes them easy to spot among the vines, and they have lovely purple flowers.
This heirloom bean from the Ozark mountains was introduced by Henry Field in the 1930s. It is shown with the tomatoes 'Mexico Midget' and 'Azoychka Peach'.
